With over two decades of "in-the-trenches" experience as a teacher and school principal at all levels of education in the fourth largest district in this nation, Cheli is considered “America’s Most Trusted Principal” and has been branded as "The Right Choice" for education according to Women's Day Magazine.
A wife and working mother of two, Cheli’s passion has always been kids and education. After earning a Bachelors of Science Degree in Exceptional Child and Elementary Education from Barry University at 19, Cheli put her educational career on hold to pursue a modeling career in New York, where she was quite successful, and is still a member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild).
Cheli is author of the best-selling series on school success, School Talk! Two upcoming books in the series, Homework Talk! (July 2006) and Test Talk! (January 2007). Other books in the series include: Parent Talk!, Teacher Talk!, Principal Talk! and School Board Talk!
Cheli is founder of one of the first K-8 public schools that earned the highest educational rating among all of the schools within the State of Florida. Currently she is the principal of Coral Gables Elementary, A Nationally Recognized School of Excellence and an A+ Florida School.
She is an extensively published writer and national public speaker. Her expertise has been presented on dozens of radio programs throughout the country.
